supervision for the executive body and ASOC. He is also required to
represent ASOC at various external meetings. In his spare time, he

He would love to travel the world when he graduates and he vows never
to get sunburnt again like he did during summer. He also has a goldfish
named Bluey.

VP Internal - Sally Hsieh
| As Vice President Internal, Sally’s role is to act as a point of
contact between ASOC and the univeristy, in particular Arc and the
school of Actuarial Studies. She is also responsible for the research
of grants and funding available from the univeristy, and to monitor the
progress of the executive body. Sally is a triplet and has a cheeky and
adoooooooorable black labrador called Milo. She is a sucker for
romantic films and has seen “The Notebook” a gazillion times.

| As treasurer Jon organises the budget, manages ASOC’s funds,
patronises Thomas as much as possible and fudges the numbers. Top 4
most legendary tv series: How I Met Your Mother, Psych, Flight of the
Conchords, the Office. Top 4 most awesome films: Lucky Number Slevin,
the Usual Suspects, Fight Club, Clue. Top 4 most entertaining anime:
Full Metal Panic, the Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, Read or Die, the
Daughter of Twenty Faces. 4 words to describe Jon: insane, soft,
nocturnal, sleepy. |
 |
| Bob’s role as secretary provides the administrative backbone of the
society. He organizes the general volunteers, the officers and also
ensures the smooth running of meetings and events. This exec gets
constantly teased about his weight, being lazy and not working out
enough. Fear not – he is actually very hard working in all aspects and
surprises you (in a good way) when you least expect it. A “sensitive”
guy, he can also be quite dangerous and unpredictable as well, having
obtained 2 speeding tickets in 2 days! So if you’re Bob’s friend, you
get the best of both worlds! |
 |
| Jason as the marketing coordinator leads a team of eager event
promoters and advertisers from all year levels. He is responsible for
promoting all of ASOC’s events and increasing ASOC’s presence in the
community. Being the tallest of the pack, this guy can eat without end
and not gain any weight at all! Despite his laziness at studying and
inabiliy to get up early, he puts 100% into everything he does. He’s
passionate about basketball (and also about making fun of everyone
shorter than him) and is known for his inappropriate jokes! |
 |
| As social coordinator, Joyce is responsible for organizing and
overseeing all of our social events. Her objective is to make sure that
our events provide an environment that encourages students to meet
others and to have fun. Joyce is the “manliest” exec - you can
recognize her by her bulging biceps, burly voice, and the terrified
crowd that always seems to be running from her. She loves cooking, and
if Actuarial Studies isn’t made out for her, she’ll open her own
restaurant. She rages at everything she cannot do, & despite being
a tennis player, this includes WII tennis. Otherwise, she’s generally a
sweet person, and is known for her explosive “OMG MAN!!!!!” |
 |
| As sports coordinator, Kevin organizes all of our sporting events,
such as the soccer and basketball competitions. He liaises with various
other societies to ensure our sporting events run smoothly. A morally
upstanding individual, well-known for his decisiveness and swiftness to
act, maturity beyond his age with an ability to concentrate for days on
end. The aforementioned is an individual that is exactly what Kevin is
not, BUT his approachable nature pretty much makes up for his plethora
of faults. |
 |
Peer Support - Thomas Wong
| As the peer support coordinator, Thomas has the task of organizing
peer mentoring, PASS classes for all the year levels, VBA sessions as
well as managing the tutors for the classes and writing support
material. Self-proclaimed King of Foosball (the table football game
with the handles and the rods), Thomas is a passionate supporter of Man
Utd and the Socceroos. Thomas is also well-renowned to be a big fan of
movies, singing and Freddo. His favourite fast food is KFC, followed
closely by Hungry Jacks. |
 |
Publications - Andrew Teh
| Andrew as publications coordinator is responsible for the FAB
newsletter, advertisements and other printed material. He overlooks a
dedicated team of graphics designers and editorial officers to complete
the various tasks. He loves to game endlessly in the wee hours of the
early morn. Do not underestimate this skinny boy, he loves his 100
bowls of cereal for breakfast and eats like there’s no tomorrow – yes
girls, he does have abs! Reliably late to everything (and constantly
abused for it), Andrew is generally a reliable and friendly person
(except perhaps when you interrupt him while gaming). He also
absolutely despises coriander. |
 |
| As IT Coordinator, Ania is responsible for making ASOC’s
fundamental information portal more fun, informative and relevant to
Actuarial students. She looks after the IT infrastructure of the
society, coding, designing and maintaining the website, as well as
administrating the communication between ASOC and its members. Ania is
studying Actuarial and Computer Science, her favourite colour is green,
and her hobbies include: dancing, pwning noobs, hacking computers,
being really clumsy, and creating world destroying singularities with
her large hadron collider.
