Online Proxy Voting for Social Director Election

Email proxy voting has now closed. Proxy voting was open on Monday 25/05/09 Midnight to Midnight (00:00hrs to 24:00hrs).


If you are unable to attend the EGM on Tuesday, then you are able to submit an email proxy vote for the Social director election. The candidates running for the 2009 Social election are:

  • Karen Wang
  • Stephanie Kam
  • Ken Duong
  • Richard Cho


Candidate Statements



Number candidates in order of preferences with 1 indicating highest preference. You do not need to number all the candidates, fill as many preferences as you wish.



Email Proxy Voting Instructions

To submit your vote via email:
  1. Log into your unimail or zmail account
  2. Send an email from your unimail / zmail account to elections@asoc.unsw.edu.au with your preferences in the following format:
    • Number candidates in order of preferences with 1 indicating highest preference. You do not need to number all the candidates, fill as many preferences as you wish.
    • Eg, if you would like to vote for 2 out of the 4 candidates, then email:          John Smith - 1
                 Joe Bloggs - 2
    • Please make sure you send your email from a student numbered account eg. z3200000@student.unsw.edu.au, not john.smith@student.unsw.edu.au


Additional Rules

Emails sent from non-unsw student email accounts will be disregarded.
Student numbers will be used to verify enrolment in Actuarial courses, and hence membership of ASOC.

If both email and EGM election votes are received by the same student number, then the email vote will be discarded.
Votes will be counted according to Section 26 of ASOC regulations.
